creating pages from templates and keeping the site updated with
basic information.
WebCrew recommends
that applicants have a solid base knowledge of HTML and/or Macromedia
Dreamweaver and demonstrate the ability to create tables, find/make
images, write using proper grammar and spelling, and come up with
ideas for the site.
WebCrew is also
seeking individuals proficient in XML, PHP, CGI, or JavaScript.

Graphic Designer / General Artist
WebCrew's Graphic
Designers and Artists are responsible for every graphic that is
placed on our website. This includes basic images with text, Flash
animations and scanned drawings.
We recommend
that Graphical applicants be able to show their knowledge of Fireworks,
Flash (Swish), Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, PaintShopPro, or
other graphics related program. They should also know when to use
.jpg or .gif and how to reduce the file size of an image. If you don't know this you will definitely learn it. Anyone in this position will also do the dreamweaver work of making pages and maintaining.
WebCrew is also
seeking individuals interested in creating art (drawing, painting,
etc.) for viewing on our site.

Writer / Reporter
News, stories,
poems, and intersting articles are the content that keep visitors
coming back for more.
Possible writing
opportunities include sports writing, writing about ZB clubs and
activities, opinion (soap-box) editorials, how-to articles, in-depth
writing (including research), stories, poetry, and advice columns.
Writers and
reporters obviously need to be able to write well (excellent grammar
and spelling; well-written thoughts).
There is no
journalism-class requirement (aka Stinger) to write for the site.

Photographer / Videographer
Photographers
travel to events to capture the excitment of a game or an activity
on digital film. Then, they edit the photos or video, and place
it on our site for all to see.
WebCrew is looking
for students willing to take pictures of sports events, pictures
of before/during/after school events, and pictures of students,
teachers, and other school members.
Applicants need
to provide their own transportation to and from events; credit in
Photography class is recommended.
Note: WebCrew
may be short on cameras this year. If you have a digital camera,
and are willing to use it, please let us know.
