I'm not judging Einstein at all.

And the fact that it's an opinion does not make it true at all.
One can easily prove that reality is not an illusion. (as stated above by me).

I rely on lots, and lots of other things besides opinions. In fact, I rely on opinions the least. But that's just me.

I'm curious, explain to me how it can't be proven that reality is real or not.

I said that not everything Einstein said was true. I really didn't see you prove anything. Maybe you should write it again to make sense.

Hehe, nice.

Well, I didn't see you prove much either...just go off of another persons opinion, not one of your own.

It's all good, this isn't really a big deal, just discussing.

This is a discussion and I didn't mean anything by comments I may have made. I was just asking you to explain what you're trying to get across because I'm a bit confused. I never tried to prove anything. I just put out my opinion. I posted another person's (Einstein) opinion also. You wrote:

One can easily prove that reality is not an illusion. (as stated above by me).

All I asked is if you could explain it again because it seems you changed a little when we agreed in the first comments. So it needs a little changing in the words to make sense.

doh...

Suhweet, I'm sorry, I guess I misunderstood you.
I thought you were making fun of me and wanted me to ramble on some more. hehe My bad.

Here's what I said at the beginning of the discussion to dapperdan
======================================== ======
Yes, dapperdan, it makes sence that people have different opinions, but not that there is "no reality".

Having different opinions (which we all have, and I respect), is MUCH different than simply saying "there is no reality"...because, when people see things differently, that does not change the fact that reality is still there! Reality does not change! Opinions do.

Ultimately, I agree with what Mr. MgGraw is trying to get across (that people have their own opinions and they see things differently), but I don't like the way he said it.
Thats all.

Does that clarify it a bit for ya?

I guess we both did a little misunderstanding. I guess I didn't read your comment right. Sorry. I think we both agree about reality but in a different way. Neither one of us is really wrong.

I'm so proud

It's so nice to see you guys saying, "I'm sorry I guess I misunderstood you" and the other saying, "It's ok, I led you in the wrong rhetorical direction." Please! Get the point of the subject which is reality! I (personally) feel there is a reality, and that perceptions (while important) do not rule reality. This is a little bit of a tangent, but I believe that you can't escape your box, without some outside help. A classic example is, "How can you imagine a color you've never seen?" You simply can't. However, that doesn't mean at all that the color doesn't exist. That color most certainly does. But hey, how can you change perception then? You would have to see the color first, before you could imagine it. So if McGraw is advocating that you change your perception, he must realize that you must first change/expand your experiences. I feel that that is what he really should have been advocating. Not the changing of perception. How can you enjoy the view if you only have a wall to stare at?

Thank you so much for being proud of us. I would hate it if you were disappointed.
